At Grace ER, we are available to answer all your questions. We are an emergency/immediate care facility where all patients are welcome. No appointments needed.

A: Texas law requires your insurance carrier to pay for your emergency care, whether the emergency room is “in network” or “out of network.” According to Texas Guidelines, all insurance carriers are required to pay in-network benefits for any member presenting for emergency medical treatment. In fact, it’s the law that you must be reimbursed by your insurance carrier for your emergency room visit. The state of Texas empowers you to use “a prudent lay person standard” in considering what constitutes an emergency.

A: If your insurance company refuses payment for your emergency room visit, you can file a grievance with the Texas Department of Insurance. State law requires patients to be reimbursed for emergency room visits by their insurance carrier. Understanding that these situations can be scary for both parent and child, our facility is much calmer and less rushed than traditional emergency room settings. We even designate special rooms for our younger patients.

We also take the time to meet all of our patients’ needs. No long wait times, no parking hassles, no stress. We offer clean, private waiting rooms – and experienced doctors trained to care for you in a calm environment. We will also follow up with your primary care physician to ensure optimum communication between all of your care providers.
